Google's at it Again
Those folks at Google just can't seem to shake their LEGO obsession. Check out this story, reporting on the latest LEGO-scheme in Google's bag of tricks to be creative business leaders.
I start the day with a latte and a heaping side of celebrity gossip. I consider Hollywood magazines required reading, and my DVR runneth over with reality TV. Check with me to hear stories about A-listers who love LEGO. I mean really, who doesn’t?
Gen Xer
Now it’s iTunes, TIVO, and gadgets galore. Then it was Thriller on MTV, Goonies, Ghostbusters and of course the singular masterpiece, Star Wars on the big screen and PacMan all over my “state-of-the-art” Atari system. I was a kid of the 70s and 80s who loved building with LEGO bricks. Too bad my parents sold all of my original LEGO sets, the Commodore 64 and our first Apple II computer when I left for college or I could be banking some serious reserves from eBay to buy that 52” LCD HDTV. I love that it’s cool again to play with “the brick” and I can’t believe what some people are doing for fun and on the job with these little plastic building blocks.
LEGO Lovin Teach
Teacher by day, LEGO enthusiast by night. After a full day of teaching the three R’s, I look forward to winding down and discovering creative curriculum ideas, especially ways of incorporating LEGO into the classroom. Keep me on your radar for exciting LEGO stories in the classroom.
Homebody
My favorite childhood memory is piecing together houses out of LEGO bricks with my brother and then convincing our mom to walk us to our friend’s house so we could add them to the LEGO city in his garage. Check out my blog to see how kids are playing with LEGO now-a-days or for activities to help families incorporate LEGO into their lives.
Office Manager
Voicemails, emails, conference calls, meeting after meeting after meeting got you down? Face it, we don't all have a Dwight Schrute to keep the office light and lively, so check with me to see how some of the most successful companies are letting their workers out to play to bust the office blues...and win the innovation game.
Community Watchdog
Is someone hosting a LEGO event? Is someone doing something new and unusual with LEGO bricks to help the community? Has someone built the world’s largest LEGO anything? If so, I’ll be there taking it all in and reporting it back to you!
